Foden-NC Testbed, Foden Works, Sandbach
The Foden-NC testbed, seen at the Foden Works at Sandbach. This vehicle was never completed as a useable bus and ended up being returned to NCME in Wigan, when production of the Foden-NC abruptly ended. The vehicle was eventually sold to bus operator, R Bullocks of Cheadle on the closure of NCME, and was subsequently broken up. However, the mechanical units were retained by Bullocks and placed into store. Eventually, these units were sold to West Midlands based bus preservationist Keith Billingsley, when he purchased the former WMPTE Foden-NC (ROC300R) for preservation. ROC300R and the spare units have since been sold onto the proprietor of Aintree Coaches, who also owns the former WYPTE Foden-NC TUB250R.
