Mammatus Clouds

Jorn Olsen works for the Dutton-Lainson Co. in Hastings, NE, and these are a couple of his photos. These are Mammatus clouds. They are formed when the air is already saturated with rain droplets and/or ice crystals and begins to sink. It’s usually associated as a by-product from tornadoes. They are so beautiful I just had to share them. Check out his website :-)
