I'm used to this. If it just lasts only one night we will probably be okay.
Tucson houses are not designed for cold weather nor hot weather! They are poorly insulated, if at all. I think newer housing is better insulated because gas and electric prices are much higher than in decades past.
And, water pipes are often exposed outdoors with no drainage points inside.
And, the sewage lines from the house are designed to clog due to a very small slope requirement. That's because the sewage lines in the street are not low enough. I couldn't believe the building codes when I moved here and bought a house.
