Northeast Middle School Students Visit Maryland General Assembly
On February 7, 2013, the BEST Democratic Club hosted a trip for Northeast Middle School Students to visit the Maryland General Assembly. During the trip we viewed the Senate while in session, visited the Comptroller’s Office, and met several elected officials within the State of Maryland. None of this would have been possible without sponsors, so we would like thank the International Association of Fire Fighter Baltimore City Firefighters Union; Local 734, Naacp Baltimore Branch, 11th District Councilman William Cole, Casa De Maryland, Senator Nathaniel McFadden, and 12th District Councilman Carl Stokes for being the sponsors of the event and helping us to invest in children of Baltimore City’s future.
