P. hirtipetalum is a geophyte with yellow flowers and

erecto-patent, regularly pinnatisect leaves with irregularly

incised pinnae. The diagnostic character for P. hirfipetalum is the soft hairs covering both the adaxial and abaxial side of the

spathulate petals, hence the specific epithet.
