Animation
The original idea for the animation was to follow the reference clip of Buster Keaton doing pole vault. I tried to use it as reference, but the interaction with the pole in every frame was too difficult and the result that I am obtained was poor and unrealistic. For this reason, I decided to reference to another clip of Buster Keaton: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iu-B72NfC0w
To reproduce then run I followed Muybridge study (3.bp.blogspot.com/-SluQYD85MkU/UJERdqEKbSI/AAAAAAAAABc/Mb...)
The result is not perfect at all, it still needs some improvements, but the running is quite realistic. The interaction with the pole this time is fine and the rigging, even if it is not one of the best it is working fine. I didn’t focus so much on the scene, because I run out of time. In the end, I don’t expect an high grade for this project but I am satisfied of my result, as my first character animation.
