The Kodak Amateur Flashlight Outfit

Recently I acquired a second example of this flash device (on the right in the picture) . The accompanying manual dates from 1923, as compared to the one on the left that goes back to 1927 . Several differences can be noted : the 'older' one has a supply of flashpowder for 20-25 exposures , the 'younger' one for 15-20 exposures . The notch for attaching the taper (a long thin candle) has an extra support in the early model . The text , size and the seal of the glass tubes with the components of the flash powder differ .
