A man dressed as a woman in a 1988 street parade on Morilla Street in Lightning Ridge. Likely to be the 'Potch Queen', a humorous, annual competition for men, in opposition to the beautiful, sparkley Opal Queen, who is annually chosen from a colourful field of women to represent opal.
Note: Potch is opal without colour........
