The forest changes near the junction with the Golden Stairway track, to become Wet Sclerophyll. The orange-barked tree is Sydney Red Gum (Angophora costata), and the tree with the dense dark green foliage and stringy bark is Turpentine (Syncarpia glomulifera). The ground fern is much denser than in Rain Forest and in this case seems to be Soft Bracken (Calochloena dubia).
