Cooking pancake

I think there is something quite magical about cooking pancakes...or dropped scones - the speed with which batter, poured into a pan, turns into something light and lovely. As soon as it starts to bubble and blister you know it is cooked on one side - a quick flip and a few moments later it is ready to eat.
