Gertrude Mary Winkelmann (1885-1918). Born Bairnsdale, Vic, died Berlin, Germany. Achieved widespread acclaim and popularity in Melbourne and Gippsland area in the first decade of the 20th century as a fine opera singer. Gertrude was my great-aunt.
