It's rattling again!
When this box was opened any money in it had to be put into a post office savings bank for which I still have a book. When we inherited the money box, it rattled, so we took it to a local village post office where a friend was the post master. He rummaged around and found the key that opened it. Of course the coins were all pre decimal so not a lot of use but encouraged by this we started to use the box, but alas the post master and his post office have gone the way of all good postmasters and many post offices. I doubt if anyone still has a key and it's rattling again.
