For anyone not familiar with the location, it's near Gravesend, Kent and only a mile away from the Thames, with it's own jetty for Dredgers to deliver dredged aggregate. This is transported to the wash & grading plant by a conveyor.
There is a run round loop / reception siding behind the camera. The loco runs around the train of empties and then propels it into the loading area, nine wagons on each of road four & five, as seen in the image.
Wagons can also be loaded by the overhead conveyor to the left, on roads one & two, but both the conveyor and trackwork was undergoing maintenance when we visited.
