Stinky Fish Bodies!
Timmie #88 is busily processing a huge batch of Sardines! The fishing boats have come in, and now it's time to prepare the fish for canning. Timmie is trying not to get himself too stinky! The sardine heads, guts, and tails are removed. Oil and/or sauce is added, then the cans are sealed and ready to be cooked in the huge brick ovens on Cannery Row!
Timmie #88 tagged along for a weekend at the beach. We visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which was built on Cannery Row, on the old historic sardine processing and packing plant. Alas, the sardines have been over-fished and are not very plentiful now.
