Happy Tongue Tuesday

Tony Stark has a fun story. Actually, it didn't start out so fun. The Animal Control Officer brought him to our practice when he was less than a week old. He looked near death and no one expected him to survive the night but he did. He survived the next day and then the next day and then the day after that... Once he was a big, robust three-month old kitten he was ready to be adopted out. He's the kind of kitten that was truly special and you knew it the instant you met him. I predicted he'd be in the adoption cage in our lobby for less than two hours before he found a new home. I was wrong. It took two and a half hours but one of those hours was during the lunch break when we don't have appointments. I had the first appointment that afternoon. A woman brought her cat Charlie in for his annual exam and vaccines. She said the last time she brought a cat to the vet was to have it put to sleep. Before Charlie's appointment the owner's young daughter was nervous and asked if Charlie was going to come home. Well, not only did Charlie make it home but so did his new little brother, Tony Stark!

 

According to his new mom, Charlie and Tony Stark were grooming each other, playing and snuggling with each other the moment they met. The new BFFs came to board last week and Tony Stark happened to be in the same cage he was when I took the picture of him below.
