Fishtail was given its name because the peaks represent the split tail of a fish. It is traditionally seen in the highlands of Nepal, but only at dawn, because the cloud cover causes it to "disappear" after sunrise. The mountain is frequently photographed at dawn, hence the dark sky and the glinting sunlight.
