Quilt
Just before Christmas 2022 I mentioned to my brother and his wife that that the best present I had ever been given was the patchwork quilt that they had paid my sister-in-law's sister to make, that I had been using for years but was now getting very threadbare. I suggested asking if they could get another one made, which I would pay for.
I heard nothing more about it and I didn't want to push the issue.
Last month, before Christmas, I was presented with this quilt, made by my teenage niece. She refused payment.
It is summer and it has been too warm to make much use of it yet, but I am sure that it will give me many years of snuggly warmth when the weather cools.
