Büyük Han mit Mondsichel
Der Büyük Han (türkisch für große Unterkunft) ist für mich der schönste Ort im Nordteil der Stadt Lefkoşa, der Hauptstadt der türkischen Republik Nordzypern.
Kleiner Tipp: In dem Lokal unten links kann man im Anschluss an die Besichtigung super essen. :-)
Der Südteil der Stadt, welcher Hauptstadt der Republik Zypern ist, heißt übrigens Lefkosia: Nicosia ist der Name in der englischen Amtssprache, die Leute sehen sich jedoch als Zyprer mit griechischen oder türkischen Wurzeln und die entsprechende Sprache nutzen sie. Heißt, wer als Tourist positiv auffallen will, nutzt im jeweiligen Landesteil den richtigen Namen, auch wenn er, wie ich, weder türkisch noch griechisch kann. ;-)

In the restaurant on the left one can eat really good. :-)
The southern part of the city called Lefkosia: Nicosia is only the name in english, which is an official language, but people speak greek or turkish normally, because they feel like greek or turkish cypriots.
So, as a tourist one attract positive attention when he use the appropriate name in the two parts of the city. Also, when he can`t speek greek or turkish... like me. ;-)
