Stained Glass: Masonic temple Adah (Jepthah's daughter?)
The Masonic temple in Atchison, KS was open for viewing one day in July. The main chamber has several stained glass windows and free standing Masonic themed pieces. The windows are not visible from outside nor are they lighted naturally due to protective exterior metal blinds, installed to protect them from breaking in high wind (according to a master mason answering questions). This window was back lit with an unknown light and front lit with fluorescent and yellow light from the overhead dome. White balancing for incandescent seemed to best remove a color cast..
The central image is flanked by two Order of the Eastern Star (OES) emblems. The meaning of the central figure was not explained, but may be (edit: was identified as) Adah (Jepthah's daughter), a notable emblem (heroine?) of sacrifice.
