Tentative: juvenile Hygrocybe Cantharellus (a.k.a. Orange or Chantarelle Waxy Cap)

I had the wrong camera and was being hurried by my party, but I got one image in reasonable focus.

 

Identification Notes:

Genus Hygrocybe is most likely, but species ID can be more difficult from just a photo. I used this guide to speculate:

There were many individual examples of this, widely dispersed along a 1.5km Great Lakes trail.
