Rush: Cycling to school (Subtractive filter HSE)

Weekend Project "Rush" (May 11th - May 25th)

Details

This modified Harris Shutter Effect (HSE) image of emphasizes differences between three sequential photos while turning static features black. A moving camera (me, walking) introduced parallax between successive images. Warping to align some background features caused others to distort. The leaning cyclist is reminiscent of leaning race cars, as photographed in the early 20th century with a focal plane shutter, and suggests haste.
