Heimat: a small town flashback
Utata's weekend project "Heimat" (June 3rd - 17th, 2017) nebulously defines the theme as "home", "place you are from", or "place you belong". I chose a street in a small town as most representative, with few people evident and doors trustingly propped open.
Then I read Martin's interpretation as a place you grew up. This brought to mind the technically embarrassing photos I could take with grainy, slow film and a slow, crummy, fixed aperture camera. These were usually over or under exposed and frequently blurred. So i went for a walk with a shutter set for 1/15 s to blur the image, processed at +2.0 EV, then converted to B&W to match my nostalgia.
But is it still sufficiently "Heimat"?
