Slime mold sporocarp (sporangia)

This is likely a species of Trichia or Hemitrichia. From this angle one can observe the white stalks anchoring the fruiting body to the substrate.

 

Trivia: Even slime soft bodied slime molds exist in the fossil record. Here is a description of one preserved in amber.
