Isolation
This was taken at China Camp State Park in Marin County San Francisco Bay Area around noon on a overcast day, my initial thought for this shot was to get a Black & White shot with long exposure to still the water and have some cloud motion to make the scene dramatic but what unfolded was quite a different thing.
I was using a Singh Ray 10 stop Vari-ND filter that has a polarizer and had stacked a 3 stop hard edge + 2 stop ND soft grad + 2 stop reverse grad filters
when i looked at the shot on my LCD it was showing magenta blue color cast ...initially I though it was my WB setting but when I opened it up in lightroom for processing my WB setting was quite normal at 5800K so instead of going with my original composition plan I just worked with the color cast to create this image...let me know your thoughts
