Islamic grave, Rhodes
Unlike most of Greece, Islamic symbols seem to be found in Rhodes. I think that is because the islands came under Italian rule from 1912. The rest of Greece took part in a swap of people with Turkey, Christians in Turkey going to Greece, Muslims in Greece going to Turkey. This was in 1923, and the islands were not part of Greece, so it didn't happen. Interested to hear from anyone who thinks I'm wrong.
