Just happend to be near the Roanoke Regional Airport when a Blackhawk (I think, couldn't see what markings were on it, could have been a Navy variant) took off after a short stop.

 

There are a lot of military ops in and out of ROA due to the surrounding terrain, as it makes for a good training simulator with all the mountains around.
