PIZZA: C ... Average

 

Average in the chain pizza category … in Guatemala.

 

There was some waivering on awarding it a C-, but the horrible reports were exaggerated and the surprise of it being good enough got the C.

 

Guatemalan pizza can be awful, puffy, marshmallow-consistency, tasteless crust with a spread of sauce and cheese so stingy it is like something Scrooge would be serving if he opened a pizza parlor. Then top it with bologna which is called ham.

 

So by comparison, the thin, crisp crust topped with decent cheese and sauce and actual pepperoni was ok … just ok. Still, Telepizza or Domino’s is much better. Anyone in Antigua should choose one of the many very good local pizzerias ... especially the pizza at Pangea which is a block away.
