On each visit there is always something extra special … in a bad way.

 

There are lots of little things that make me raise an eyebrow in a hotel of this class such as silverware not being cleared. Like the coffee, they put the effort into serving a better grade and there’s nothing on the menu about it.

 

This was just a silly little thing, but I asked if they had a tea menu and they brought out the cans of tea. It wasn’t like a special presentation or anything, they just plopped these big cans on the table. Really?

 

Here’s the big thing on this visit. The hotel is out of the way on a quiet street. I told the doorman I needed a cab. He discussed the weather but couldn’t make the effort to call a taxi. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked again “No taxi?”. He smiled looked up and down the street and said “No taxi”.
