Snowflake Coaster Set
I made this set of 8 coasters/mug rugs as a hostess gift for my youngest daughter who hosted our family Christmas this year (2013). The coasters are each about 7" square with original snowflakes. The backing is the same as the background. I used only 1 layer of cotton/poly batting. One of the coasters is hand stitched, the others are appliqued with zigzag and straight stitches. After one experiment, I decided I preferred using white thread for the stitching.
