"Clean Garbage" Sculpture

Augusto Boal's "Aesthetics of the Oppressed" workshop explores common themes through a variety of different artistic media. Here groups have made collaborative sculptures out of what Boal calls "clean garbage"—objects from everyday life. Each person brought in five items and took turns adding one item at a time to build a sculpture variation of a performance piece.
