Asian Pacific American Heritage Month 2018 :

I do not consider myself as hyphenated.

 

I am fully American, while I do recognize that my heritage derives from across the Pacific and not the Atlantic, including a small bit from Brazil.

 

While many of my generational peers avoided military service, I volunteered for the US Navy, possibly because I had watched too many "Victory at Sea" episodes.
