Found on the side of the Belasco Theatre is this ghosted old neon sign, the Belasco opened in 1926 and ran as a regular theatrical venue until 1952, it was then used as a church until 1984 (hence the sign) and was renovated in the mid-eighties, Now other than the occasional film shoot the theatre sits dormant right next door to the famous Mayan Theatre which is still a much used live venue
Update: Aug. 2010......... the old theater has new life !!!!
