Rain and the Wall Test

Our average rainfall for one year is 11 inches. That shows you that any rain is a big deal in Southern California who is coming out of a years long drought.

Last year we got only 8 inches for the whole year and I think this current round of showers will match that. We have a test at our house: if the wall gets all the way wet it really rained, not showered. As you can see, this current rain hasn't quite made the test yet but we have promises of several more days of off and on showers.

You can see Hyacinth, Gemma and Julian, the mango bench (my mistake - TOO bright) and the succulent in the left front that started 2 inches high and burst its pot long ago and keeps growing.
