This end of the former County Buildings dates initially from 1868 when it was built as council offices, but it was remodelled in 1892 as part of the Court. The Portico was apparently cannibalised from the original Corinthian colonnade.
Beyond, where Ingram Street meets Brunswick Street, is a warehouse by Robert Billings, dating from 1854 and with an eclectic mix of Scottish baronial features, including the gable which wraps around the corner.
