Rail Replacements
A major upgrade of the Tyne & Wear Metro system between Byker and Tynemouth closed that section from 12 March to 3 April 2011. Trains ran as far as Byker where Met-Cam unit 4013 prepares to return to St. James on 29 March. Replacement buses taking passengers on to all stations to Tynemouth can be seen above the train.
