Points of Interest.

150225 forming the 1019 Leeds - Heysham Port stands at Morecambe Junction before taking the Heysham branch (to the right) on 28 February 2013.

The driver is setting the route from the groundframe, unlocked by the key collected with the staff from Bare Lane. The indicators normally show continuous yellow to confirm that the points are correctly locked into position, as the point setting is not yet complete it's currently displaying red.

The track in the right hand foreground completed a run round loop for locomotive hauled passenger trains at Morecambe station's platform two and also for nuclear flask trains heading down the branch to Heysham Power station. Since DRS like to have two locomotives on their flask trains they "top and tail" the "Heyshams" and most excursion passenger trains seem to do likewise.
