Passing Siddick Pond

Target 57 was not always lengthy but was always varied. Here - on 22 September 1989 - a petrol tank, a couple of acetone chemical tanks and a brace of empty timber OCAs pass Siddick Junction with 26032 in charge.

Siddick Junction signalbox controlled the junction here for occasional trains to the Broughton Moor Royal Navy armaments depot. The 'box was closed in November 1988 replaced by groundframes which were released by Workington Main No.3 until 1992 when the branch closed. It can be seen that the small semaphore signal visible on the previous two pictures has gone (along with rest of them).
