Aftermath desolation of a harsh winter

A little earlier in the day.

I walked almost five miles on the rocky bank of the river from the entrance to the National Great Falls Park to this spot. The huge boulders on the path of the river near the village of Great Falls in Virginia and Potomac on the Maryland side of the river, add such amazing spectacle and rush to the speeding water which then surges through many cascades formed by the zigzag of rocks. Millions of visitors come to this park annually to enjoy the scenery, picnicking, rock climbing and canoeing (kayaking).
