Laura ~ 19/100 strangers
I met Laura yesterday, after stranger #18 recommended I stop off at Ben & Jerry's and try one of their new flavors of ice cream. Yes I gave into the temptation, justifying the gazillion calories by saying to myself, I'll ask my server to be a stranger.
It is my habit to stop off for an ice cream at Ben & Jerry's whenever I am in Freeport anyway, which is only once or twice a year. But I usually order one scoop of Cherry Garcia in a cup. However, this day I was feeling brave, so I ordered a three scooper of "Imagine Whirled Peace" (which is just the right blend of caramel & sweet cream ice cream, swirled with fudge peace signs & toffee cookie pieces). And lucky for me, Laura was my server!
It was very busy this day, despite the fact that Free Cone Day was 24 hours away, and I wasn't so sure my plan was going to work. Much to the surprise of Laura's co-workers (I guess Laura is rather shy), and even though our meeting was very brief, Laura graciously agreed to this photo.
Thank you for being my 19th stranger Laura, and the Imagine Whirled Peace ice cream was delicious! I am sure that you were swamped today, Free Cone Day, but I hope that you were able to keep that beautiful smile going.
