Hyundai iLoad police van WIP
Started designing this van last week to add to my police fleet and slowly bring the vehicles in line with my current scaling and building techniques. This particular vehicle is based on the Hyundai iLoad's dimensions which puts it at 13 studs long, 5 wide and 15 plates high. This allows two minifigs and any equipment needed for responses to fit inside.
To get the bonnet and windscreen to have realistic angles a few frowned upon techniques had to be used. The bonnet parts are connected by clips to the anti-stud areas underneath but the windscreen is floating in place. The windscreen is locked from side to side movement bar a 3L bar attached the dash and its angle is held while the vehicle is upright by the cheese slopes and the slide plate.
I need to make some stickers for headlights and police markings for this to be considered done. I'd also like to try and make a cage that can fit a minifig on the back but given the low roof and the way the rear fender attaches it's not possible so I may have to cheat and just have a torso and head in there.
