Wild wood violets

These are a few of the wild wood violets that have invaded our front and back yards. I believe that this type, white with blue/purple veining, are called "Confederate violets." We also have another type, a rich purple all over, which seem to reach full bloom a little later in the season. I shot this photo on 4/21/2013 using a Canon PowerShot A1000-IS.
