Pretty Your Sink
I took the challenge to pretty my sink from Like Mother, Like Daughter. I hate doing my dishes, and my tiny kitchen is often cluttery. What a great idea to make a "space of drudgery into a pleasure and prayer."
Before: full of dishes, cluttered shelves and broken picture frame of husband. Despite the dish soap's claim, my sink was pretty joyless.
After: I did the dishes. :) I made a quick dish soap apron in bright yellow and red, moved some of my houseplants to the nearby windowsill, and hung a little patchwork window over the sink. Also, I keep my pantry items in pretty little jars so the packaging doesn't add to the clutter of my crowded kitchen.
