In Memoriam: Lenny.... Happy New Year all..
Beagles and Graham self portrait
John Beagles and Graham Ramsay have worked together as a collaborative duo since 1996. Their work ranges from sculpture, photography and painting to video and performance art. They often use doppelgangers – puppets, disguises, or assumed identities – as a way of speaking in alternate voices. This allows them to explore aspects of contemporary culture, without the restrictions of a single authoritative voice. Their installation at the People’s Palace was bought by Glasgow Museums in 2010 with the assistance of the Art Fund.
This exhibition forms part of GENERATION, a national programme taking place in the summer of 2014 that will celebrate the wealth of contemporary art that has developed in Scotland over the last 25 years.
