Safer Passage

The crossing in the distance is that of NW Susbauer Road. Up until 2011 or so, the crossing was controlled only by crossbucks. Combine that with the angle of the road and the dense foliage blocking visibility, trains were forced to slow to 10 mph here. With flashing lights and gates in place, the slow order was removed and trains can now traverse the formerly dangerous crossing at track speed.
