A new giraffe! But the old one wonders why it is called Ixia.
It is called Ixia because it is a present from a new baby called Ixia. It brings a bag of sugar almonds from her. Old Giraffe is touched, because he is a hottie which we bought for the prof's mother's 90th birthday, only she died a couple of days before the birthday, so we kept him in her honour. He likes to think of the cycle of birth and death.
