Trondheim - Northern Lights
Sailing out of Trondheim, wwe went up on deck to take photos of the port as we sailed out towards Trondheimsfjorden, we decided to head to the top deck in case there were better views. Cunard had kindly turned off the safety lights (following a warning to passengers) which gave us more chance to focus on the skies.
At first we could only see clouds, but gradually the faint hint of green in the skies, more visible if viewed through the camera lens. Slowly the aura grew stronger and created the famous 'curtains'. It's a slower process than you see on TV.
Crowds gathered, all watching and filming. It lasted 20 mins or so and eventually faded, before a final burst of green before disappearing behind the gathering clouds. A hint of purple could be seen as the clouds covered the skies.
