The South London Botanical Institute and Pocock's Poppy

Founded in 1910 in Tulse Hill, South London, the SLBI cares for an herbarium of both foreign and British plants. It has a beautiful botanical garden and an extensive library of botanical literature.

The volunteers in the Robert Pocock Project discovered that the herbarium contained some of his plants, collected early in the 19th century. This is Papaver hybridum L., Rough Poppy.
