Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino
This work represents a dream that Simon Rodriquez, the teacher of Simon Bolivar had in 1832, about the place where the Liberator died. Without knowing San Pedro Alejandrino, Simon Rodriguez wrote that "Bolivar died in a place close to the sea and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, in a space of exhuberant vegetation and I visualized the silhouette of the Liberator between two trees". This vision was painted in 1902 by Luis Maria Generoso Jaspeen, a native of Cartagena.
