Escenaris on fou filmada el 2001 la obra mestra de Roman Polanski: El Pianista. Tot i que en part fou filmada als famosos estudis Babelsberg de Berlin, Polanski va trobar racons intactes de Varsòvia on rodar la pel·licula força "in situ".
Aquest es el petit carrer Kozia, en ple centre de la ciutat, que apareix a principis de la pel·licula, quan fa poc que Polonia ha estat conquerida pels nazis. De fet el carrer es tant identic als anys 30 que la placa amb el nom apareix a la pel·licula, pel que l'escena passa al mateix lloc figurat (és dels pocs casos).
Aquesta foto forma part de tot un viatge pel centre de Polònia, enfocat especialment en els més tragics moments del Holocaust i la II Guerra Mundial, que esclafà Polonia com pocs llocs, però que alhora contrasta amb l'increible renaixement del país fins al moment actual.

Locations where Roman Polanski's masterpiece The Pianist was filmed in 2001. Although it was partly filmed at the famous Babelsberg Studios in Berlin, Polanski found untouched streets of Warsaw where he could shoot the film quite "in situ".
This is the small Kozia Street, right in the city center (miraculously intact as all around it was destroyed), which appears at the beginning of the film, when Poland has recently been conquered by the Nazis. In fact, the street is so identical to the 1930s that the plaque with it's name appears in the film, so the scene takes place in the same figurative place (one of the few cases).
This photo is part of a trip through central Poland, focused especially on the most tragic moments of the Holocaust and World War II, which devastated Poland like few places, but which at the same time contrasts with the incredible rebirth of the country up to the present day.
