Com ja vaig comentar, la càmera militar KF-4(1) que vaig comprar, va arribar amb una peça clau, la roda de transmissió desplegable, suelta per dins la càmera, amb la molla que la controla, perduda.
Tot i que el motor funciona, sense aquesta peça el moviment no es pot transferir al caset de pel·licula. Necessitava una camera identica tant per la peça com per practicar el desmuntatge. Per sort vaig trobar un PDF del manual de reparacions oficial de Bell & Howell, així com la versio civil de la càmera, una Model 200TA.
Primer s'ha de desmontar el frontal i l'obturador, per a poder extreure tot el lateral on va la molla i el motor de la càmera. Tornar a colocar les peces en la seva posició, incloent ara la molla i la roda de transmissió fou una mica complexe, però ho vaig aconseguir i ara la càmera fa moure la pel·licula dels carregadors. A veure quan la puc provar amb pel·licula de veritat...

As I mentioned, the KF-4(1) military camera I bought came with a key part, the deployable drive wheel, loose inside the camera, with the spring that controls it missing.
Although the motor works, without this part the movement cannot be transferred to the film magazine. I needed an identical camera both for the part and to practice disassembly. Luckily I found a PDF of the official Bell & Howell repair manual, as well as the civilian version of the camera, a Model 200TA.
First you have to disassemble the front and the shutter, to be able to extract the entire side where the spring and the motor go from the camera. Putting the parts back in their position, now including the spring and the drive wheel, was a bit complex, but I managed it and now the camera moves the trial film inside the magazines. Let's see when I can test it with real film...
